The Lie We Were Told About Charging for Healing Work

April 02, 20261 min read

“There is a level of trust that is met when you actually charge for your services .” - Adelina

There is a story quietly circulating in the holistic space that says charging well for your work is somehow at odds with the purity of your practice. That if you really cared, you would give it away. That money and medicine don't belong in the same sentence.

I want to challenge that gently but directly.

Your work has value. Real, life-changing value. When you undercharge, you attract clients who don't fully commit. You burn out. You resent the work. And slowly, the gift you came here to share gets buried under financial stress.

Charging well is not greed. It is sustainability. It is a statement that says: what I do matters, and I intend to keep doing it for a long time. The world needs your work. Make sure your pricing reflects that.
